How long will my 3d Areola Restorative Tattoo last?

Your areola tattoo is meant to be the final stage to complete your journey with breast cancer or gender reassignment and a time we want to promote emotionally healing for you through tattoo restoring your familiarity and self confidence. Your areola will fade over time. The goal is to last you many years before a refresher may be needed. Cosmetic tattoo pigments are not used for this procedure making it a longer lasting design comparable to body art pigment, however, may factors will contribute to how much fine detail lasts in your in the long term including hormones, medications, lifestyle habits such as sun and salt water exposure to name a few.

Can I be tattooed after radiation therapy?

Radiation therapy is only a direct contraindication to tattooing if the skin being tattooed has been directly compromised by the radiation causing a weakened epidermal skin layer that usually will display signs of increased vascular activity, sensitivity and overall poor durability. Please do enquire if Areola Restorative Tattoo is something that you would like to know more about and whether or not your a candidate.

How long after my breast reconstruction can I have areola's tattooed?

As a guideline from the time of your first surgery to the time you can recieve our new areola tattoo is approximately two years. The skin is typically strong enough to work on three months after your last surgery and as per your plastic surgeons instruction.
